I’ve been busy coming up with ideas for signs and Sarah has been pumping them out like the talented artist she is
These are all of our signs for the 2008-09 season, with the exception of our Ribsy sign that still isn’t completed. Hopefully Sarah can work her artistic magic because I think it will be our best sign.
Without further ado…
This is the sign we usually put up on the wall behind our seats.
My Brenden sign. He ignores us by not looking at us, but he usually stands in front of the sign when we have it out.
Sarah’s Marty sign. I think this is her most artistic and best one
Otter love! He really liked his sign when we showed it to him.
Another one for the whole team. It got graffitied at the last practice we went to.
In honor of what the national announcers said when the Stars won the Cup in Buffalo
It’s always cool when people take a picture of Sarah and me holding a sign of Sarah and me.
Another Brenden sign. You may recognize the lyrics from Razor’s new version of “Tomorrow”.
We first used this sign at Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals last year, and Robi SALUTED us when he skated past.
Another Marty sign Sarah made before his shutout against the Red Wings in February. It seemed to bring them good luck
Our makeshift Mikey sign when we realized we didn’t have one. Hopefully there will be a new and improved one coming soon.
This has gotten a wave from Razor at a pregame skate, and Ralph took a picture with us.
Lehtinen liked our signs so much that he actually smiled for a picture!
A new sign for our favorite new rookie
The sign for Boo is new since he missed most of last season.
Our new Swede appreciation sign since we have so many of them now!
Those are all of our active signs for the season. Here are the ones that we have “retired” because players have left. There’s still a chance some of the signs could return
My favorite sign that we’ve retired since we only have one Finn (and he has his own sign). This sign got me several smiles from Haggy during the pregame skate and MANY pucks shot at my face.
Our Stu sign that will probably make occasional appearances since he is on our coaching staff now. We put this sign up at development camp and got a big smile and wave from him
The main sign we used at development camp. Some of the guys seemed happy to see signs and others seemed thoroughly confused.
One of our playoff signs last year.
The Believe sign Sarah made 10 minutes before we left for the AAC to go to Game 4 of the WCF. We paraded around the arena with it, and it was a big hit. It was also instrumental in starting our mini riot by the escalators after the game.
We still need to make a Zubie sign, but he was out for most of last season and hasn’t come back yet this season. A Brunnstrom sign is also in the works.
Wow, those are pretty excellent!!
Those signs rock…I’m not a sign maker…mostly because I’m not that creative haha.
Love the signs, and love the stories about them!
Chels and I were just saying that we’d enjoy being honorary sign girls at some point this season.

That would be awesome! I’d love to meet you guys, and I’m sure Sarah would too. If there’s a game that we are all going to, we can definitely do it
Amy
Sounds good! Considering that Chels and I go to almost all of the home games, it shouldn’t be too hard to arrange.
