I still think we have it. I wasn’t able to watch the game last night (thanks FSN you big bunch of $^#*^$#, I REALLY needed to watch Astros meaningless game #10 of the season), but I don’t think we’re out of it.
I was less upset about the loss than I thought I would be. Most likely because my wonderful Brenden managed to score 2 goals in the third after getting hit in the chest with someone’s slapshot. I wasn’t expecting to sweep the Ducks this series, and I didn’t want the Stars to have that much time to rest between rounds.
It all comes down to Game 4 on Thursday night. I think the Stars gained the momentum back in the 3rd period with the two goals Brenden scored, and they can carry it into Thursday to give us a 3-1 series lead.
However, if we lose Thursday, I think we’re screwed.
And please, for the love of all things hockey, sit Niskanen. As much as I love our little rookie defenseman (and dislike two other defensemen), he has been by far the worst defenseman on the ice in all 3 games. Give Fistric a shot at playing Thursday. I don’t care if it’s nerves or whatever – Grossman has the same amount of experience and he looks much more composed out there.
